You can tell it's summer time

#1

Only 4 threads commented in in the past 48 hours.

One about movies, one dedicated to OTs, one about hockey and one about track and field.

So true… and with two commits already, it feels like the July eval period will not be as exciting/scary as when we were completely in the dark about prospects.

#3

We’re not done with 2012.

#4

Interesting. Gonna put out an article on the subject soon?

How about a hint. Prep kid? JUCO? post-grad transfer?

#9

Prep kid. Not American. Point Guard.

Prep kid. Not American. Point Guard.

My first thought was Xavier Rathan Mayes but he’s 2013

@The_905Kid Goodluck on your visit to PSU next week… make sure you meet Tim Frazier!!”

Did some investigation on the twitters, found this interesting nugget from a URI “source”. Who is @The_905Kid? 2012 PG Kaza Keane, from Canada.

Looks like Keane was reclassified from 2013 to 2012. Listed as the #4 PG in Canada on a Canadian prospects site

Also looks like Pitt was checking him out towards the end, too.

#13

Purely by population - not taking into account whether it is better for your game to be in one geographic place or another - being the #4 point guard in Canada is like being the #4 point guard in California. One, two and three on that list went to BC, Buffalo and Columbia. Jamie Dixon looking at him says a lot, but my impression is that Pitt tries kids out and cuts them loose if they don’t work out.

#14

Name your top 3 Canadian NBA players.

#15

On the subject of try outs, it’s not like PC has had guys in for a visit that didn’t leave with an offer.

#16

Steve Nash, Rick Fox, Jamal Magloire.

#17

Steve Nash and Rick Fox off of the top of my head. I’ll take either one of those and their multiple NBA championships.

#18

Steve Nash, Danny Earls whipping boy from Santa Clara. Cable Car Classic.

Nash has had a slightly better professional career since.

#19

According to Rivals, he was offered by Pitt and Ga Tech.
