Wither? $ Bill Edwards

#1

Yes, we called him $Bill, loved is passion, he wanted to win…but what I was his freshman year at PSU, even thought he had passon, he made too many mistakes, too many dumb plays, too many turnovers.

So I wanted to look closely this year on how he does at Miami(OH) to answer…was he a poor player…or was he poorly coached at PSU?

Early returns on $Bill not encouraging.

Miami, after tonight’s loss at Evansville, is 3-6. Bil’s PT is dwindling, and he had his second straight DNP tonight. He’s not hurt.

Forward Bill Edwards, a transfer from Penn State, has been a major disappointment and has found his way into Coles’ doghouse
Player To Watch: F Bill Edwards—RedHawks fans waited all of last season for the Penn State transfer to get in the lineup. The anticipation grew when Edwards scored 14 points in the opener against Dayton, a performance that moved him into the starting lineup. The sophomore scored 21 points against Xavier, but since then it appears he might not have been worth the wait. Edwards has quickly earned a spot at the end of coach Charlie Coles’ bench. He was scoreless in three straight games and played four minutes in a loss to Troy. Edwards shot 35 percent from the field through seven games. He also committed 17 turnovers with only 10 assists.

Maybe he was used up? He was probably leaned on too much and he’s got grandma hands. It’s more than just the two of us and I wish you well.

Youngsters may not know the original basketball “Dollar Bill” - Bill Bradley
When he signed with the Knicks I think he was basketball’s first $100,000 a year player.

Babb doing pretty well. 2nd in mpg, 3rd in points at 11.2ppg, 5rpg. Still doesn’t go inside, with ~80% treys vs. ~55% for Chris Allen. Still, PSU could certainly use the 3 ball. Started every game.

We will have a chance to see him play tomorrow.

The Miami (OH) RedHawks will play at Ohio State on the BTN

I don’t know if that’s the right link.

Here’s one…

Miami has been resilient despite multiple injuries to key players

Miami took a step in that direction with Saturday’s 66-61 victory over a strong Belmont team despite yet another addition to the casualty list, sophomore forward Bill Edwards, whose wrist injury is expected to keep him sidelined for an unknown period of time.

BTW… ESPN has Bill Edwards credited with a personal foul

I’m pretty sure Bill played last night. I think he was #1 and it looks like he lost some weight.

LP, you’re losing it in the facial recongition department

#1 is Josh Sewell

Edwards wears #12 and took his third striaght Did Not Play

#13

He’s #12. #1 is Josh Sewell, who is listed as 47 lbs lighter than Edwards, so at least your eyes have that right.

The RedHawks are a young team, however, made more so by the losses of junior Orlando Williams (who left school), junior Allen Roberts (knee surgery, out for the season) and sophomore Bill Edwards (wrist surgery, not expected to return).
