Talor Battle knows there are no guarantees in life.
He knew when he decided to attend Penn State, a traditional doormat in the Big Ten for basketball, there were no assurances things would be rosy after completing his stellar high school career at Bishop Maginn in 2007.
Four years have past and Battle has emerged to become the all-time leading scorer at Penn State with 2,213 points. The 6-foot senior guard excelled for the Nittany Lions and helped lead the team to the Big Ten tournament final and into the NCAA tournament this season.
Now, Battle is getting ready to embark on a new basketball quest: fulfilling his childhood dream of reaching the NBA.
