What would be in the best long-term interest of the program, and is that in conflict with what's in PC's best interest?
I could see a coach worried that his future depended on next year using all his scholarships just hoping to get lucky with a kid.
I think he could use a point guard, or a combo guard if he can shoot at least a little bit, and he should take a really good shooter if he can get him no matter what position or what year he is.
But I'd also like to see a longer-term view and hang on to 3 for next year absent a kid who is a really good bet to be a contributor. And those are hard to get. Cam Johnson is hearing from Kentucky and Arizona. It's not like sure contributors are struggling to find interest from attractive programs.
This view is all just chit-chat anyway. The staff undoubtedly has a better handle on expectations for the Dread class. No chance to showcase anything new between now and signing day.
