Peter scored 34 in the season opener for Holy Redeemer in an 80-70 loss to Scranton. Dan Earl was there to watch Pete and also to look at Scranton’s top player 6’ 7" Terry Turner - a 2012 recruit. (Lar’s matrix has him at 6’5" - I’m sure there’s a quantum physics explanation for the difference in height.)

Here’s a link to the story.

He’s a 16 year old kid, they grow.

I’ve bumped him up. He was listed at 6’5" last year when he was named to the All-State team. All-Preps now has him at 6’7" also so I’ve changed it.

Comeon guys…I don’t know about these 2 kids …BUT…why don’t we mention that it’s a basketball tradition (all levels) to inflate heights. This site sure could use a little “reality.” (see the U-Tube video) I watched some of the T-Wolves last night. Beasley and Love were both announced at 6-10. Reality says about 6-7…6-8 at VERY most for Love…Bulls announcer keep saying how “under sized” Love was.
P.S. Love sure can rebound…but Wolves are a “mess.” Beasley a no D gunner.

Turner mentioned as 6-5 in this article:

Football is way worse than BBall with respect to heigh/weight for high school kids. PSU had a lineman I remember back in the late 90’s come into the program at 6’-6" and 300 pounds, he left the program three years later at 6’-2" and 270 pounds. I remember one of the Scout guys saying that he was at one of the high school combines a few years back where a guy was listed at 6’-2" and 225 pounds, when he got up on the scale he was 5’-11.5" and 198 pounds, the scout guy said the look in the kids eyes were so hurt and scared he yelled out 6’ and 200 pounds and the kid broke out into a huge smile.
