From the article:

“Among the tens of millions of dollars in main campus projects affected are the planned expansion of the student center, the HUB-Robeson Center; and renovations to South Hall, Pattee Library and the Cedar building.”

My guess is since the ice arena is being funded by Terry P, it shouldn’t be affected. Unless the University is chipping in a significant portion, but I don’t think that’s the case.

Everything is a go with the hockey. It is all private money. All building on hold had some state money attached.

While I agree with you, Spanier doesn’t:

Spanier said the building projects that are on hold don’t rely on state appropriations.

“This is not so much about the dollars as us being in a very conservative financial mode right now and slowing down the capital construction process until we have a higher level of fiscal certainty,” Spanier said.

I didn’t see that part. I still stand by my word about the hockey. I also know the IM fields will still be built

Hockey and all athletics projects I’m not worried about.

It’s just interesting to see Spanier finally cave a bit about his construction cravings.
