OT's GONE WILD!

Since there have been a lot of different OT threads here lately I thought I’d post this for a few laughs today.
Pretty wild stuff!

Monkeys Riding Dogs Herding Goats Sweeping the Nation at Minor League Ballparks

Who cleans up the messes? ???

I’ll just keep the OT posts in here from now on… good story about a homeless bball recruit in NYT today. Pretty sad, hopefully things get better for his family. This is a situation where it would be nice if the kid could get a job while he was playing (or receive some pay for playing) so that he doesn’t feel stuck choosing between playing ball/going to school and providing for his family.

And that story is the kind of story the NCAA will negatively go after when his school’s boosters want to help him and his family out.

3 largest poker sites seized. Glad I lost all my money playing at Full Tilt. I would have hated to have the government seize it.

If by some chance you haven’t Googled anything in the last 24 hours, here’s the video that you would have seen on Google’s home page honoring the 122nd birthday of Charlie Chaplin. As is often the case, Google nails it.

I wonder if Ed could book them for a half-time show next season. I remember something called donkey basketball where guys would ride donkeys with socks on their hoofs while trying to play a basketball game. I forget if the donkeys wore diapers or not.

Yeah, and it’s got to be more entertaining than this!

Maybe PSU can send a couple of people for a “training assignment!!”

Seriously, Penn State has had its share of whacky halftime entertainment.

I know…we have had our share of dancing bears! I was just trying to take a shot at PSU’s management for lack of SERIOUS EFFECTIVE marketing.

I figured that. I was agreeing with you.

Who is it, Selig?

At least it was a Penn State robot…

That was an embarrassment. I was expecting it to really fling the ball in there and it barely dribbled it.

And don’t we already have pitching machines?

I heard that the Phillies actually told the guy to turn it down so it didn’t throw too fast. Plus, the hand/arm/wrist is supposed to be pretty sophisticated. I believe the robot does a lot more than just toss baseballs around. I’d expect a pitching machine to do a lot better – that’s its sole purpose and what it’s designed to do.
