Just saw the movie, Tetro, with Vincent Gallo. Sort of a comeback for Francis Ford Coppola. It’s in b&w, low budget, and IMO, a terrific film, esp if you like indie films. It’s about a troubled family. Won’t ruin it, but just a great, though not necessarily new story. Not epic, like Coppola’s Godfather(s), nor Apocalypse Now, but engrossing nonetheless. Went with a friend, and it’s the kind of film you need time to talk about afterwards. Smacks you in the face. The visuals make it obvious it’s made by a director who really knows his stuff. Run to see it.
