Unbelievable burden on that family. Warner was/is special in so many ways. I'm visiting a college friend in North Carolina and we were talking about whether LeBron is better than Magic Johnson (my friend's standard), and somehow we got to Curt Warner and his incredible athleticism.
Then see this - what a story. From an "unplumbed house" on a polluted West Virginia river to greatness on the field and classroom at Penn State, all-pro for Seattle, then one of his children burning down his family's home ... and he still seems like that quality kid with real humility that exploded onto the scene immediately at Penn State (when I was a sophomore - just seeing his first moves on the field was breathtaking).
