I saw him at the BJC back in 04 or 05 for the Musicology tour. Easily one of the top ten shows I’ve seen. Played about 30 songs and a great mix of his hits and the lesser known such as Bill Collector Blues, Sometimes it Snows in April. Not only did he give employees the same discout as students (I think I paid $20 or 25) but everyone got a free copy of the Musicology CD, which was really cool because the show was a few days before the album was released.
Great guitar player and just a great all around musician, singer, composer, producer, etc. Not only did he record and produce most/all of his albums, a lot of the early albums he played all of the instruments.
One of my exes liked his music even though she was annoyed “that he looked better in heels than she did.”
