OT: Dallas Braden

This is the guy that was having the media tiff with A-Rod. Looks like his 15 minutes of fame turned into immortality pretty quick. Only the 19th perfect game ever.

Not being a fan of how A-roid plays the game, I enjoyed that Dallas Braden threw the no-hitter extending his 15 minutes of fame;and, I really liked Braden’s grandmother’s response to A-roid. ;D

Here is an interesting bit of analysis concerning Yankee players getting around the basses after hitting a homerun; and it does not surprise me who the slowest one is:http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704446704575206144193925572.html?mod=WSJ_latestheadlines#articleTabs%3Darticle

If you liked that bit of obscure analysis you might enjoy this site that is traking all “tator trots”: http://tatertrottracker.com/

Another site that makes procrastinating easy for the baseball fan:http://baseballanalysts.com/ I was surprised by the analysis concerning whether or not Jamie Moyer is a Hall of Fame candidate?

OK… now I must get back to work :frowning:

Dallas Braden +1

Another interesting note.

Wade McGilberry won a million dollars for pitching the first perfect game in MLB 2K10 (the video game).

Braden’s 2010 salary? $420K

He gave Letterman’s Top 10 list the other night. Still taking cuts at ARod.

Pretty good delivery too. More props to him.

Braden says he isn’t worthy of congratulating Roy Halladay
