We watching another ESPN documentary. It was The 'U' Part 2, covering the seasons after the national championships, around the time of the sanctions (post 1998).
They had a shortage of scholarships due to the sanctions. Butch Davis and a few players were being interviewed. They said that they recruited several football players and put them on Track scholarships, then had them walk on the football team. Santana Moss was one of those players.
I thought that was not possible. Doesn't the scholarship count for the revenue sport if the athlete is competing in both?
