What specifically is this a list of? Non-senior draft declarations? If so, I know you left the 3 Seton hall players off the list… and thats just off the top of my head.

#3

It’s a list that came over the AP wire a couple of hours ago. But after taking a closer look at it, it appears to be about ten days old.

#4

Ah, okay.

I’ve been using Rival’s list: http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1069126 Not sure how updated it is, but its a bit better than that one.

#5

Added Temple’s Lavoy Allen to the list

#6

I think the list is now complete.

Players in blue have remained in the draft, while those who are struck through are returning for another year.

#7

Thanks Lar, I’ll be using this list for reference.

I count 51 players still in the draft. There are about 2 dozen kids who are kidding themselves.

#9

Avery Bradley, Samardo Samuels, Mason-Griffin, Manny Harris, Landesberg, Dee Bost, Stephenson just to name a few.

#10

It seems that Landesberg and Harris are done at their schools and would not be able to return even if they wanted.

The NBA released a new list of players who had asked for their names to be removed from the draft. There were some changes to my list mostly new names that had never appeared on the list before (they can be identified because they now appear in my list with the comment “withdrew from draft”), but did included one that I had as remaining in the draft, specifically Eniel Polynice from Mississippi who originally said he would hire an agent but who I guess never did.

The list should now be current (and pretty much complete as far as NCAA players go - there are Euros that have declared for the draft that aren’t included).

I don’t necessarily agree on Harris, though it’ll be tough. He can do a lot. His weakness is his 3 shooting, and if you play for Beilein, that’s a no no. I’d agree on Stephenson, but supposedly the Knicks would love him in the second round(they have no 1st round picks, Isiah’s doing I think) where they have two picks in the high 30’s overall. I don’t get it.

#14

I still don’t think Stephenson is NBA ready. No matter where he gets drafted. If the Knicks want to sign him and not draft him (is that possible?) then maybe. The kid averaged 12.3PPG, 2.5 APG and 5.4 RPG. IDK I’m just not seeing it. I could be completely wrong, though.

#15

Not in that order. You can not draft him and then sign him after the draft but you can’t sign him before the draft.

#16

The article I read said the Knicks were hoping he’d last to the second round. I’m not kidding. I agree with you. Plus, he’s trouble. He mouths off at refs, has gotten into fights on the court. His promotional video, Born Ready, shows a skirmish in a pickup game, which I guess is to show his toughness. Plus, he and another student were arrested for sexual assault while he was at Lincoln. It took til last summer to settle it, more than several months. The Knicks are nuts. And he can’t shoot, though he did win Big East Freshman of the year. Go figure.

The Knicks are the Knicks… the Mets of the NBA… and I’m a Mets fan.
