Wow, throwing a returning starting senior off the team because “made progress but failed to meet all his obligations to the program”. Ballsy !

We don’t have enough info to make judgement. The “lawyer talk” is just that. WHO KNOWS ??..what has really happened.

I don’t think so. Allen played the point for awhile when Lucas went down. He did not do a great job, and lost the spot, but his handle is better than Chris B’s.(Ed would never consider Babb for the point), and I’ve seen him drive baseline and dunk in a game. Never saw Babb do that. Babb only had 20 baskets inside the arc last year out of 89. Chris Allen had 105 baskets, 52 inside the arc and 53 outside. Much more balance in his game. Allen shot much better overall and on 3’s, though not sure he hits the moon shots Babb can. They probably will compete for time, though I don’t know whole roster. Maybe the “grass isn’t always greener.”

That what I was thinking (bold). Hoiberg is going to bring in players.

If you think about Chris Babb’s shot selection, it was very much getting a better look on 3’s. Some of that seemed to take him further from the basket than most guys. Talor does that too, but if you take that away so he’s an unreasonable distance, he drives. Chris doesn’t. So, IMO, he should use the off year to seriously improve his handle. His shot is great. Going to be interesting to see next few ISU recruits. Several guys have left Kentucky.

Why do I get the feeling that Babb is not going to get a lot of PT with Allen coming in?

Wouldn’t say that. Same skill sets for the most part

The numbers don’t support that. One guy scores inside, one doesn’t. You’d think the taller of the two would have more inside points. Handle separates the two. Could you ever imagine Babb playing the point?
