Chambers' travels

#1

PC will be in/ or has just been in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Boston, Augusta and Newark. (Reading PA as well)

I know what is going on in all of these places but Boston and Newark. Any ideas?

Chambers hasn’t been to the Hoop Group camps in Reading, but the assistants have (as far as I know). But from my site, here’s Chambers’ travel itinerary:

July 6th - Reebok Breakout Challenge - Philadelphia, PA July 7th - Adidas Invitational - Indianapolis, IN July 8th - LBJ Skills Academy - Akron, OH July 9th - Boston, MA (off) July 10th - Hall of Fame National Invitational - Springfield, MA July 11th - Hoop Group Summer Classic East - King of Prussia, PA

If I had to guess the rest of his schedule:

July 12-14th - Nike Peach Jam - North Augusta, SC
July 15th - Joe Brown Memorial Tournament - Wayne, NJ

Assistant whereabouts:

-Urgo and Burroughs presumably were at the first day of the LBJ skills academy, according to a tweet by Jay Wright.
-There were PSU coaches at Hoop Group Elite Session 1 Camp and HG Elite Team Camp (today and tomorrow)

Expect PSU appearances at the NYLASPORTS Summer Jam in Wisconsin (12-15th) and the West Virginia Hoop Group Jam Fest (14-16th).

EDITED: July 11th - Hoop Group Summer Classic

You’re right he wasn’t in Reading. Thanks for the NJ tip. Had the rest of it figured out but that one.

It is interesting that Coaches travels have been well more public. Last staff, we really never knew where they were visiting until there was a sighting and that was slow to come out. The contrast information flow between old and new is intriguing. Give the board more stuff to chew on in the “dry” part of the year. BTW Cornely is on campus working out like a lot other alumns do and playing against current squad, did anyone catch his interview on friday during lift for life coverage?

Anybody know if and where Cornley is playing BBall? Is he in a foreign league right now. Was always a guy that I thought would be a good coach for PSU in the future. Obviously had some elite leadership skills while at PSU and his game was predicated on figuring out ways to overcome his lack of height yet still compete. I would have to believe that would allow him to be a good coach as it wasn’t just ‘natural talent’ that got him that far but a really good BBall IQ.

Looks like Cornley most recently played for Ciclista Juninense in Argentina and was the league MVP

MVP del Torneo Nacional de Ascenso - Jamelle Cornley (Ciclista de Junín)

Did they just pronounce his name jay-mel-ee? It reminds me of my time in Ecuador, being called Bri-ahn. Funny stuff.
