Butler or VCU

Thanks to Butler, I’m now leading my $100 pick-every-game pool. But who to choose and by how much?

I have bet against VCU in all 5 matchups they had so far, and I’m going to do it again tomorrow. They defy the odds more and more every time they step on the court in this tournament… at some point they are either going to finally come back to reality, or finish off one of the most improbable runs in the history of sports.

All that aside, I think Butler is the team best equipped to beat them of anyone they have faced in the tournament thus far. If they don’t lose tomorrow, I may finally be betting with them in the final.

VCU knowing how PSU feels tonight, based on this officiating

Despite that, VCU missed a lot of gimmes.

Looks like Butler is going to hold on.

Well, survived the first game…

I had Butler by 2, so picked up only 6 points in my pool, but still in first place…

Is bad officiating like pornography, that is, you know it when you see it (the old eyeball test strikes again)? I’d be curious how you can actually measure whether or not refs do a good job.

Missed close shots may have been the difference.

When they calls are very inconsistent. A guy getting hacked on one end, but no call, leading to a touch foul on the other end…that’s bad officiating.

Funny - i thought VCU got the benefit of some crappy officiating all through the tournament, yet I thought tonight was pretty fair overall. Not necessarily GOOD, but fair.

Watched the game without sound…!!
