So any news on his LOI?

Tomorrow starts the signing period.

Oy! Why did I think today was the 11th? What a long freaking day.

He’s signing tomorrow afternoon at his high school. I follow him on twitter and he seems like a kid with a lot of character and is really excited about coming to play at PSU with coach Chambers. Can’t wait to cheer for him next year.

akosa maduegbunam ‏ @maduegbunam_1 tomorrow i make it official, with my signature..I turn my dreams into reality, dont be suprised if i cry cus i wish my dad was here for this

Akosa seems to be the “forgotten man” among the PSU fan base at large. Here’s to hoping people will know exactly who he is at the end of next season.

Aren’t we all “forgotten men” :frowning:

Hopefully that will change by the end of next season as well.

Small Forward Set To Join Nittany Lions Wednesday

I just hope he can shoot. If we get a couple players who can shoot 45% or so, Tim Frazier will average 10 assists per game.

“Charlestown coach Edson Cardoso said Penn State asked to do the signing at Charlestown High, which Maduegbunam had no problem with.”

Interesting request, unless there’s some underclassman recruit at that school.

Also interesting that he was quasi-reclassified as a 2012 guy when he could have been a 2011 guy.

Read the article the same way. Seems like he prepped just like PSU players go to Kiski Prep for a year. I like it, another year older and more physically and mentally prepared.

It’s official!

Awesome. Welcome to PSU young man.

Great news. Welcome to PSU.

Looking forward to the 1st commit of the Chambers era!

If Akosa can run the floor and finish around the basket, play above average defense at the 2/3 position, and be a decent rebounder, I’d take it for year 1. I think Newbill and a more consistent & improved shooting Marshall will provide the outside shooters and second on the floor scoring option.

Welcome Akosa! Can’t wait to watch you in the blue and white!

Really looking forward to seeing him play for the Lions next season!

Welcome Akosa, glad it’s finally official.

Akosa passed this clip on.

His segment starts about 2:00 minutes in.
