Nice write up, tjb.
BTW... I used the term Power 6. I think P5 is more of a football thing. For hoops, I think you have to include the BIG EAST.
Probably a better standard is P5 coaches without an NCAA appearance.
Chambers' 6 is the runaway leader there.
Va Tech was longer as well, until they made it this year, FWIW
Andy Enfield trying 2-for-1.
Three more possessions - SMU bricks a free throw, USC bricks a free throw, SMU misses last-second game winner in lane.
Chambers has an NCAA appearance - just not at his P5 school.
Love those RIU uni's, go rams!
Bruce Weber told Dakich yesterday that K State didn't run any plays the last six minutes or so - all high ball screen actions. Said the players know what to do at this stage of the season.
Some suggestion that Greg Marshall may be ready to move on. Possible Indiana coach sighting on CBS right now, although it's going into halftime.
Edit add - And of course, everyone's favorite head coach replacement Archie Miller on the other bench!
Hey youngin, I enjoyed watching PSU play RIU back when you were in diapers when PSU was in the A10 at games in Rec Hall and at the Palestra in the old A-10 tourney.
Jim Baron was the guy who we should have hired, according to the sports talk of the day.
Was URI really called RIU? I don't believe it
Don't believe it.
I've been to the same games at Rec Hall and the Palestra, back in the day.
They've always been URI.
I guess I should have just typed in Rhode Island above so I would not have to put up with this pettiness. Go Rams!
It's only pettiness when you are wrong.
When you are right, it's called gloating!!!
As a transplant living in Rhode Island, I am deeply offended by you calling the University of Rhode Island "RIU", and declaring that describing my hurt feelings is "pettiness." It's time to go back to my safe-zone...
